Holiday Hills Hydrology Study
Prescott, Arizona
Description
This project included a hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for an existing 30 acre hillside development in the Prescott area. It also included the development of conceptual alternatives, and construction plans and specifications to mitigate drainage deficiencies throughout the site. Through a partnership with the Flood Control District, Public Works Department, and area residents, we devised an innovative and creative drainage plan for Phase 1, which also incorporated roadway improvements. An essential element of the Phase 1 improvements was the upgrade of an existing box culvert along Valentine Road. We significantly increased the capacity of the existing structure without adverse impacts to adjacent properties.
