Hays Ranch Road/Model Creek Crossing Drainage Analysis

Description
We formulated four conceptual alternatives to improve the crossing's capacities, while minimizing impacts to adjacent property owners. The four alternatives included concrete box culverts, corrugated metal arches, corrugated metal box culverts, and corrugated metal arch pipes. Our analysis included hydraulic modeling of each conceptual alternative, the advantages and disadvantages to each conceptual alternative, percent increases in capacities for each conceptual alternative in comparison to the existing condition, preliminary cost estimates for each alternative, and conceptual drawings for each alternative. Minimizing sedimentation of the proposed structures was an essential element of the conceptual design.
